Western North Carolina in spring is full of waterfalls, wildflowers, and lovely spots to visit. Our family enjoyed several outings over a long weekend, with short hikes that led to beautiful views and a visit to the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site (with goats!).

Visiting Havana, Cuba, with kids can be a wonderful adventure. We loved the vibrant streets, classic cars, beautiful architecture, and so much more…and even went on a photo tour with a local guide.

In Cuba, there’s so much to see beyond Havana. We loved experiencing the sights with our children, who enjoyed everything from the artists’ community of Las Terrazas to the mogotes of Viñales. Logistically, it wasn’t as challenging as we thought it could be to travel within Cuba, but there were a few things we needed to keep in mind.
